JIYA PURI

Having grown up in New Delhi, studied at Central Saint Martins in London and OCAD University in Toronto, I have been exposed to various design methods, styles, and ideologies prevalent in all three countries. I have a personal connection to interiors that have an inviting, laidback, and wellness-focused spirit as evidenced by my Student Center design project and 37 Bulwer laneway house redesign project. A fundamentally strong team player who values the perspectives of others, I thrive in group environments and enjoy learning from my peers. I believe in giving back to the community hence during the early stages of covid, I founded a mask production company to create more job opportunities in the affected market. I grew a loyal team, made personal connections with clientele, and have taught myself the foundational skills of a successful business. My coursework, work experiences, and my passion for craftsmanship portray my dedication to design and I look forward to pursuing my passion in the industry.
